The Calendar Migrator allows you to bulk import appointment entries into Filevine's Project Calendar. It's designed to efficiently create multiple calendar entries at once, ensuring project timelines are accurate, complete, and up to date.

Understanding Filevine's Project Calendar

Before using the Calendar Migrator, it's helpful to understand how calendars work in Filevine:

Project-Specific Calendars — Each project has its own calendar displaying events and deadlines related to that case

Multiple Calendar Views — Calendars can be viewed in month, week, day, or list format

Event Types — Project calendars display manually created events, deadlines and deadline chains, and events synced from shared calendars (e.g., Google or Outlook)

User Visibility — Project events are visible to all users with access to the project. Assigned attendees also see events on their personal calendars

Understanding these behaviors helps ensure imported events appear as expected.

Getting Started with Calendar Migrator

Before creating calendar entries, make sure your data meets the following requirements:

Project ID — Each calendar entry must be linked to a project

Appointment Name — A title or description for the event

Attendees — At least one Filevine user must be assigned

How to Create Calendar Entries

Download the provided CSV template

Fill in the required fields:

Project ID

Appointment Name

Attendees

Indicate whether the event is All Day

For timed events (not All Day), provide start and end times

Upload the completed CSV

Review the entries and select Create Job

Use the Timezone Normalizer to ensure consistent event timing

The Calendar Migrator currently supports creating entries only

Limitations

Updating or deleting calendar entries is not yet supported through the Calendar Migrator and must be done manually in Filevine.
